Crisscross Puzzle Sampler 25 Club
Meets the 2nd Monday every month for 6 months beginning Monday, Jan. 8, 2018
5:45 – 7:45 p.m.
Do you enjoy learning new techniques…
sewing with friends…exchanging ideas?
It’s time to join a Sampler Club!  Meet once a month with other quilters who love sewing as much as you do. Make my newest sampler design! You will complete all blocks by the end of the 6 sessions to make this contemporary queen size quilt.  Beginner friendly!
All patterns included.

Beginning Sewing: Pajama Pants

Learn the basics of sewing while making cute PJ pants.

·         Accurate cutting and sewing

·         Pressing

·         Make an elastic casing

·         Sew a hem

Make these cute pants for yourself or your family! They make great gifts as well.

Kids (9 and older) are welcome also, but must have an adult present at both classes.

Beginning Quilting, More Peas in a Pod Quilt

Learn the basics of quilting by making this quilt from start to finish.
Accurate seaming and cutting make or break your project!
Learn about:

  • ·     Tools of the trade ( Cutting tools, rulers & mats)
  • ·      Rotary cutting skills
  • ·      Strip piecing skills
  • ·      Pressing basics
  • ·      Measuring and adding borders correctly
  • ·       Layering and tying your quilt
  • ·       Making that perfect binding 
You will finish a lap quilt with some work completed at home between sessions. A makeup date will be scheduled if needed.

Not your Grandmother’s Log Cabin….but still fun and interesting to make. Use your favorite fabrics to coordinate with your home, or make some holiday inspired Toppers.
Use it on a wall, a table or as a tree skirt. These make great gifts too!

Bubbles: Curvy Log Cabin Quilt
Meets the 4thThursday each month for 3 months beginning Thurs. Jan. 25, 2018
Two times to choose from to fit your schedule.
2:30 - 4:30 p.m.
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
A new version of the popular Log Cabin quilt made with beautiful curves. The curves are an illusion created by different sized strips, no actual curved piecing. Beginner friendly…trimming after each round ensures a perfectly sized block every time!
The Cut Loose Bubbles pattern for a 64” x 80” twin quilt is used. It would be easy to make it larger by making more blocks, or adding borders.

Cut Loose Bubbles pattern and the 8” Curvy Log Cabin ruler are required.

Interest in making one of a kind bags is high, but a little scary if you haven’t made one before.  Learn the basics of bag making while making your own Brancaster Messenger Bag.

  • ·         Make a matching strap
  • ·         Install a 2 prong magnetic snap set
  • ·         Cut and apply fusible fleece and interfacing
  • ·         Topstitching tips
  • ·         Make a tassel if using cork or vinyl

We should be able to finish this bag in class, but if you don’t, I will offer a backup time to finish, to be determined later.

Interest in making one of a kind bags is high, but a little scary if you haven’t made one before.  Build on your bag making skills while making your own Sunshine Wristlet. Makes a great gift too!
  • ·         Cut pattern pieces
  • ·         Make a matching strap with D-ring and swivel clip
  • ·         Cut and apply interfacing
  • ·         Install an outer zipper
  • ·         Install a slip pocket
  • ·         Install an inner pocket zipper (can make another slip pocket instead if you prefer)
  • ·         Topstitching tips
  • ·         Make a tassel if using cork or vinyl

We should be able to finish this bag in class, but if you don’t, I will offer a backup time to finish, to be determined later.
